Why do not Indian wear topi[cap like JAWAHARLAL NEHRU wore] now a days,earlier they used to wear?

Turban is primary men fashion apparel and NOT the topi, Topi was very identical and meant for "freedom fighters" and later used in Politics fashion. Sub Urban peoples still wears Turban even sometime ppls do in marriages.
