50cc scooter problem?

I have a brand new 50cc mc_jm50 scooter. And I already have some problems that I can't seem to figure out. First off when I start the scooter and hit the gas and let it go it will die. I tried adjusting the idle speed and that didn't really help. Also is there a break in time that scooters have? Because mine will not go more then 10 miles per hour... I stopped driving it because I don't want to mess it up. It has only 1 mile on it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
