I have a 92 prelude and when i start it up the car rumbles as if it was going to stall out?

and i have to give it gas for about 5-10 seconds around 2000 rpms before it idle's normally. Funny thing is after the first 5-10 of it doing this weird rumbling or what ever its doing it runs fine, the idle returns to normal and runs smooth while im driving it. Unfortunately i have to go through this every time i go to start the car. what is the problem?

Thats a tough one nd I can see what trouble he is causing you. Try to tell him again that you do not wish to be his little helper, but tell him in a way that will surprise him and catch him off guard so he gets it. Try talking to another adult besides those 3 if you can and have that person relay the message-maybe teacher or a coach.

How do you deal with jerks like this at work?

I work in a supermarket. I'm part time, and don't put in a lot of hours (for personal reasons). Everyone seems to be a gossip, and wants to know my business. They're always asking me about the hours I work (what time I come in, if I work the weekend and what time I go hone). One of the front-end coordinators once hounded me about the fact that I work less hours than most of the other workers there doing the same job, and kept insisting that I should work more. Apparently misery loves company, OR this guy is mentally ill. I laughed in his face about the discussion, and he went berserk on me; raising his voice and gritting his teeth. He's not a manager--just a young punk with a chip on his shoulder or something. I want to tell all of these people to shove off, but I'm a gentleman. How should I handle the situation?

Why would there be gasoline in the intake of my 3100sfi lumina 1998?

Ok.. Basicaly it sounds like the gas which should be vaporised is pooling in the intake. Its likely getting in because its not getting burned. I have seen this with both fuel and oil. The smog equipment on the car recirculates a percentage of exhause and crankcase vapors. Unless those misfires are caused by a bad spark plug or wire this will not be a cheap fix.

What can be the cause of a 72 Chevy Impala stalling when idle?

I've been working on a 1972 Impala for awhile now. I just put on a new carb and reset the distributor cap after performing some other engine work with my father (not sure what all he did to the engine). Either way, it runs now BUT it will not stay on unless we constantly stay on the accelerator. Once the car idles, she stalls. He isn't sure what is wrong with it, and I have even less of a clue. What could be some causes for an old school car like this to stall when idling? I'd like to get her up and running so I can sell it asap.

i just changed the fuel filter and pimed entire system and has no air in the fuel but wen i go too start it , it goes into like a low power mode and is only running on 2 cyliders and eventually stalls if throttle is in the idle position so i turned it off and back on a couple times and eventually got it too fire off normal and ran fine for a couple hrs and then i went back out this morning and its doing it again so im a diesel mech , but im stumped on this one and would have too say its electrical thats causeing this but what ??? fuel shut off solenoid maybe bad ?

i do not see how you wont make it into UC Berkeley. you have an impressive college resume with those high standardized test scores and extracurricular activities. the only problem you may face is the economy. UC Berkeley has had to cut back a lot and they are excepting less and less students. first priority is always the California Community College transfers. but with everything you got on the list, you should be a top candidate.
